Electronically Record Employee’s Attended Time

With proximity terminals, you have the choice of issuing employees proximity cards, key fobs or a mixture of both to identify themselves at the terminal. Proximity terminals are completely sealed units and suffer no wear and tear from everyday use and are, therefore, exceptionally reliable.

Proximity Terminals are the most reliable technology for clocking in and out. Over 85% of our customers choose them and they are extremely satisfied with their choice.

On-Line

On the basis that you have a reliable network we recommend the use of an on-line Proximity Terminal. This offers management real-time information on employee attendance and current on/off site status.

You have the choice of employees using Proximity Key Fobs or Proximity Cards to identify themselves at the terminal.

There is also a daily process to refresh the terminal with any new starters and leavers.

Off-Line

One of the advantages of having an off-line terminal is that it will continue to record clocking times even if the network or telephone line fails to function. If this situation arises then, when the system is operational again, the recorded times will be updated at the next automatic polling.

You have the choice of employees using Proximity Key Fobs or Proximity Cards to identify themselves at the terminal.

Remote Sites

If a terminal is situated in more than one location each terminal would communicate with your head office by a dedicated telephone landline with modem.

So that the CaptureIT software can communicate with each remote terminal a modem is also connected to the CaptureIT server at head office. The CaptureIT software is then configured to automatically ‘dial in’ to the remote terminals at predetermined times. This process is known as ‘polling’ and is the means by which clocking transactions are transferred from the terminal to head office. The polling interval can be as little as every few minutes, ensuring that the information you are viewing is always up-to-date.
