CaptureIT allows you to programme all of your employees’ working patterns into the system via a feature called Work Periods. Work periods simply tell the system what set of rules to apply on which day of the week. CaptureIT can run unlimited numbers of work periods. This means that employees working a unique shift or part-time hours can even have their own specific pattern.
Using work periods allow you to programme start and finish times for each shift, which assists with lateness reporting, as well as factoring in paid and unpaid lunch breaks. For those employees that can work past midnight, or work a full night shift, there are options specifically for that purpose to ensure that clockings are recorded correctly.
Work periods define your grace periods, which give you the option of docking employees’ time once they pass a certain threshold of lateness. You also use work periods for setting your roundings (e.g. round time to 15 minutes), which can be to the nearest, next or previous minutes. CaptureIT will still show the actual clock in time, but the employees attended time (and pay) will be based on the rounded minutes.
If you run any form of alternating shifts, then CaptureIT can handle this by incorporating your work periods into a shift plan.
